She was predeceased by: her parents, Mario Vela and Maria Vela (Gonzales); her son Daniel; and her sisters, Norma Salazar and Mary Lou Martinez.
She is survived by: her husband Pablo Salazar; her children, Paul Salazar and Melissa Neri (Hector); her grandchildren, Josh, Paul II, Jessica, Megan (Brady), Elijah, Daniel Jr, Esteban, Hector, Matthew, Chloe and Kourtney; and her siblings, Irma Galaviz, Joe Vela (Pat), Rosie Zendejas, Ruben Vela, Frankie Vela (Pam) and Johnny Vela. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
