He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hampel and Marian Hampel (Coon); his wife Priscilla; his granddaughter Cheryl Brooks (Ketchum); his son-in-law Lon Ketchum; and his siblings, Bruce Hampel (Evelyn), June Morlok (Richard), Joy Blakely (Clare) and Linda Begerow (Chuck).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Ketchum, Mark Hampel (Deb), Scott Hampel (Caryl) and Karen Couch (Robert). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephew.
