He was predeceased by: his parents, Corneil DeBoer and Alice DeBoer (McGee); his siblings, David DeBoer and Francis Meekhof; and his sons-in-law, Jim Coolsen and Gene Pitts.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian Meekhof; his children, Bob DeBoer (Barb), Sandi Coolsen, Ed DeBoer (Carla), Tom DeBoer (Deb), Don DeBoer (Julie), Sheryl Pitts, Brian DeBoer, Bruce DeBoer (Lisa) and Ron (Kerrie); and his brother Alfred DeBoer. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
