Marie V. Russell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie V. Russell of Lake City, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Marion and Pearl Marion (Malnar); her grandmother Mary Malnar; her former husband Martin O'Shea; her parents-in-law, James, Florence O'Shea, Edmund and Simone Russell; her stepson Edmund Russell; her siblings-in-law, Yvon Russell, Les Sole, Art Lincoln Sr., Patrick O'Shea, Kenneth Ferguson, Gordon Burt, Gerald Hansen, Betty Russell and Mary Ann Hansen; her nephew Michael Ferguson; and her nephews-in-law, Leslie Sole, Jeff Sole, Jim Lincoln and Jerry Hansen.
She is survived by: her husband Edmund Russell; her son Michael O'Shea of Sarona, WI; her friend Phillip "Larry" Arnold; her sister Rita Ferguson; her stepchildren, Karl Russell (Kathy), Connie Green and Debby Briggs; her goddaughters, Kimberly Ferguson, Pamela Drake, Karen O'Shea and Amber Ferguson; her stepgrandchildren, Edmund Russell (Ashley) and Jennifer Stanzak (Jay); her siblings-in-law, Frank Russell (Mary), Jay O'Shea (Maureen), Francis O'Shea (Donna), Joseph O'Shea (Nancy), Violet Sole, Gloria Lincoln, Antoinette Zyble (James), Diane O'Shea, Cynthia Burt, Donna Hansen and Dianne Herpolsheimer; her cousins, Joanne, Sandy and Michael Malnar (Sharon); and her close friends, Geraldine Storey, Robert Ciure, Mike, Denise Bennett, Gary, Yvonne Bandelow, Betty Stephenson and Lois Zeller. She is also survived by many other step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to St.Stephen Catholic Church, Lake City, St. John Vianney Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, MI; St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Marlette, MI; St Ann's School in Cadillac; or the Missaukee County Humane Society.
