She was predeceased by: her spouse Merlin; her brother John Hester; and her niece Diane. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Elton (Mike Roy), Craig Asplin (Barbara) and Mark Asplin (Marilyn); her brother Philip Hester (Carol); her grandchildren, Scott (Judy), Lindsey, Matthew (Jessie), Bradley and Josh (Sucrè); her great grandchildren, Joey, Benjamin, Justice, Titus, Mathias, Ajalè, Marie and Nell; and her nieces and nephews, Christian, Amanda and Helene.
Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, Indiana Wesleyan University, or Almira Historical Society.
