He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Ruth Augusta Koch (Crittenden); his daughter Dana Marie Koch; and his close friend Mike Galigan. He is survived by: his wife Judy Koch; his sisters, Kathleen Mulligan (late Robert) and Virginia Koch; his children, Ruth Charlebois (Mark), Beth Burk (Brad), Rebecca Ankley (Matt) and Scott Koch (Judy); and his grandchildren, Ethan Ankley, Megan Linegar (Charlebois), Eliza Burk and Aaron Burk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
