He was predeceased by: his mother Glenda V. Austin (Thurman); his wife Tina Marie Grove; his stepmother Joanne; his brothers-in-law, Arnold Grove, Jr. and Rex Grove; his mothers-in-law, Phyllis Grove and Kay Grove; and his stepbrothers, Walter and Wayne Cartwright.

He is survived by: his parent Jerry Lee; his daughter Sherri Galvan (Sean Elliott); his grandson Ash Elliott; his brother Ron Austin; his stepsiblings, Mike Tyler (Terry) and Brenda Tyler; his siblings-in-law, Tony Grove (Kristina), Melody Arnst (Tim), Cindy Grove, Tina Grove and Kandy Stein (Ron); his nieces and nephews, T. J. Arnst and Andrea Magers; and also Jerry Austin.

Memorials are suggested to an educational fund for his grandson Ash and made payable to the family.
