He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carroll and Anna Carroll (Karek); his son Robert Carroll; and his siblings, Betty Jean Carroll, Virginia Glidden and Jim Carroll (Betty).
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Jinny" Bliss; his children, John Carroll (Clara), Sue Ann Sharp (Charlie), Richard Carroll (Donna), James Carroll (Lois) and Debra Ross (Chuck); and his sister Patty VanNocker (Tony Ramm). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
