He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Fenton Griswold and L. Lucile Griswold (Millis); and his brother Richard Griswold. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his brother Stanley Griswold (Rose); his sister-in-law Sherri Griswold; and his niece Linda Grove. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Interment: Long Rapids Cemetery, In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Long Rapids Congregational Church of Alpena Lions Club.
