It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Lafern Smith of Lachine, Michigan, born in Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Price and Lois Price (Haddix); her sister Margaret Manning; and her brother-in-law Ronald Soltysiak. She is survived by: her son Chad Bates (Onalee); and her siblings, Richard Price (Patricia) and Cindy Soltysiak. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
