He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Carl and Beulah Mae Papke, Sr. (King); his wife Shirley Ann Thompson; his children, Trace Papke of Saginaw and Jerry Papke of Kingston; his grandchildren, Luis R. Vargas Jr., Alexis Sian (Austin) of Beaverton, Maichen Papke of Kingston and Jesse Papke of Kingston; his siblings, Shelbie Ripperdan of Bad Axe, Mary Ann Hansen (Terry) of Bad Axe, Charles and Ellen; and his pet Raider. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
