He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Florence Pearl Simpson (Reamer). He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Ann Putnam; his children, Tammy Hendrick (Morris) of Caro, Brian Simpson of Burtchville and Keith Simpson of Kingston; his grandchildren, Jason Hendrick, Ryan Simpson, Andrew Simpson, Brianna Simpson and Stephanie Watson; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Lilliana, Addison, Isaac, Sebastian and Morgan; and his brother-in-law William Putnam (Rose) of Cass City.
