He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dobson and Pearl Dobson (Nelson); his daughter Laurie Babcock; his grandson Mikol Babcock; and his sisters, Maxine, Yvonne, Evelyn and Olive.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Dobson (Vanderley) of Kingsley; his children, Mark Dobson (Brenda) of Mesick, Diane Hanna (Jeff) of Traverse City and Joe Dobson of Kingsley; and his stepchildren, Chris Taylor of Buckley, David Taylor (Bonnie) of Lake Ann, Roger Davis of Honor and Brian Davis of Sweden. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and many dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Kingsley United Methodist Church (113 Blair St, Kingsley, MI 49649).
