She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Miller and Vivian Miller (Scadden); her husband Waldo B. Carlson; her sister Nancy Miller; and her granddaughter Meggan Eiben.
She is survived by: her children, Via Thomas (Gary) of Iron Mountain, Dr. Toby Carlson (Michelle) of Breitung Twp, Melissa Eiben (Carl) of Marquette, Creston Carlson (Marc Mogan) of Breitung Twp and Alix Carlson (Curt Brzezinski) of New Berlin, WI.; her grandchildren, Robin Larsson (Carl), Annie Santoni (Anthony), Meredith Pipp (Matt), Seth Carlson (Amy), Leah Carlson, Christopher Carlson, Erich Eiben and Linnea Eiben; and her great grandchildren, Isla, Eden, Marco, Matteo, Sophie and Jack. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to: OSF Hospice, Bay Cliff Health Camp, U.P. Caring for Diabetes, The Meggan Eiben Memorial Scholarship or the Almost Home Animal Shelter.
