He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Sr. Berlinski and Helen Berlinski (Alquist); and his siblings, Susan Berlinski and Andy Berlinski Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hulce; his sons, Ryan Erickson of Norway and Matt Erickson (Emma) of Iron Mountain; his grandchildren, Dylan Erickson and Hailey McColey (Ethan); his siblings, Jim Berlinski (Bob Gauthier), Tom Berlinski (Diane), Steve Berlinski, Pat Berlinski (Jennifer) and Anne Ethington (Robert); and his sister-in-law Sue Berlinski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dick was fortunate enough to be able to donate to many local organizations throughout the community.
