He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Johnson and Lila Johnson (Mellon); his brother Wayne Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Johnson and Bonnie Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Sunny; his daughters, Erin Walla of Kingsford and Jennifer Johnson (Nathan Cox) of Carbondale, CO.; his son-in-law Mike Walla; his grandchildren, Rebecca Skrobis of Milwaukee and Tyler Skrobis of Milwaukee; his sister-in-law Pat Hughes (Lovelyn) of Colorado; his nieces and nephews, Shawn Simpson (Jim), Angela VanDeVoort, Shari Hughes, Brad Hughes (Maggie), Stan Hughes (Deborah), Adam Hughes (Jennifer) and Bud Hughes; his pets, Brody and Beau; his brother-in-law Jerry Austin Hughes; and his niece Shelly Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, and since his daughters completely dropped the ball as far as becoming scientists, a memorial scholarship fund has been established to support girls pursuing degrees in the S.T.E.M. education fields.
