With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Kathleen Smith of Kingsford, Michigan, who passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erland Johnson and Mary "Cleo" Johnson (Kernan); her sister Patricia Brooks; and her brothers-in-law, James Haddad and Donald Chartier.
She is survived by: her husband Urban Jack Smith; her children, Joanne Howard (Walt) and Michael Smith (Maria); her granddaughters, Jenna, Carlie Howard, Camila, Nicole and Natasha Smith; her sister Carole Boerger (Wayne); and her siblings-in-law, John Brooks (Mary), Darlene Chartier and Cindy Carey (Steve). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
