He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Anderson and Elna Anderson (Backlund); his sister Grace Nieforth; his siblings-in-law, Mike and Elizabeth Ohmen; his son-in-law Dr. James Caple; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Major, Bruce Hedlund, Dwight Nieforth, Rita Major, Gerri Hedlund and Jan Loring.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Lisa Walla (Donald), Laurie Caple and Lynn Petroff (Tom); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mark, Reyes, Emily Bell (Mike), Stephen (Adelae), Ethan Caple, Lauren White (Brandon) and Kyle Petroff (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Elizabeth Bell, Leighton, Holland White and Arlo James Caple; and his brother-in-law David Loring. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
