He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Kranz and Barbara Kranz of Kingsford. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sons, John Kranz (Bianca) and Jake (Kaylee); his stepdaughters, Melissa Ebsch (Mike) and Korri Vogel (Aaron); his brothers, Fraser Kranz and Kyle Kranz (Dawn); his grandchildren, Brett, Brady and Taylor; and his former wife Lorrie St. Amant. He is also survived by four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
