He was predeceased by: his parents, William Betts and Doris Betts. He is survived by: his wife Anna June Quant; his children, David M. Betts (Missy), Randeana L. Betts (Tonya) and Jamie M. Ferrier; his grandchildren, Kayla K. McIntyre, Sydney A. Betts, Charley M. Betts of Armond, K. T, Hicks, Dakota D. Ferrier, Tori L. Ferrier and Landon J. Ferrier; and his sister Ozella Chubb.
