She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Smith and Bernice Smith; and her siblings, Karen Carrier, Orville "Chuck" Smith and Julie Smith.
She is survived by: her husband William Shirkey; her children, William Shirkey Jr. (Kelly), Evi Santilli (Eric), Bryan Shirkey (Lindsey) and James Shirkey (Serena); her siblings, Eleanor Genaw, Gordon Smith (Cheryl), Stella Hoskins and Wil Smith (Kathy); her siblings-in-law, Sue Smith and Brian Carrier; and her niece Reverend Amanda Rose. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
