He was predeceased by: his brother Anthony Terrell Johnson; his brother-in-law Michael Williams; and his uncle Grover Randal. He is survived by: his parents, John H Johnson and Estria Johnson; his son Tyrone Jovan Willis (Daphne Herndon); his grandchildren, Quincy and Harrison Willis; his fiancé Niteki Moore; his siblings, Patricia Johnson-Williams, Syreeta Johnson, Lakisha Ward (Sedrick), Kendall Johnson (Tammy) and Darwin Johnson; and his close friends, Greg Hill and Kevin White. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
