He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his son David Root (Erin); his grandsons, Jeremy Root (Kaileigh), Christopher Root (Beth) and William Root; his stepdaughter Brooke; his daughter Lynda Root Coy; his grandchildren, Scott and McKenzie Coy; his son Jimmy Root (Jane); his grandchildren, Madison and Sarah Root; his stepchildren, Emma Macke (Jeremy) and Chris Fisbeck; and his great grandchildren, Myles and Isabelle Root. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
