He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Bouwkamp and Alida Bouwkamp (VanGalen); his son Steven Bouwkamp; and his brothers, Larry Bouwkamp and Richard Bouwkamp.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Breuker; his sons, Bruce Bouwkamp of Sand Lake and Greg Bouwkamp (Deneen); his granddaughter-in-law Julie Bouwkamp; his grandchildren, Cheryl VerStrate (Casey), Rachel Dykstra (Jake), Laura James (Tyler), Theresa Yenger, Anna Stephens (Shawn), Amy Bouwkamp, Andrew Bouwkamp, Nathan Bouwkamp (Stephanie) and Brent Bouwkamp (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Irene VerStrate and Jace Dykstra; his siblings, Nancy Bacon, Joyce Cammenga (Phil) and John Bouwkamp (Diane); and his sister-in-law Betty Bruins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
