He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Hammer and Pauline Hammer (Alexander); his siblings, Glenda, Lori and Clark; and his granddaughter Kiersten Hammer.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Blanche Lee; his children, Jolene Atwood (Todd), John Hammer Jr., Mike Lee (Laurie) and Diane Galbarski (George); his grandchildren, Mitchell Hammer, Janae Atwood, Colton Atwood, Troy Atwood, Steven Lee (Nicole), Jason Lee (Kim), Megan Peralta (Eric) and Sidney Galbarski; his brother Cris Hammer (Christina); and his great grandchildren, Silas Peralta, Lucy Jo Peralta and Landon Lee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
