He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Schuitema; and his brothers, Ralph and Peter. He is survived by: his wife Marva; his children, Carl Schuitema (Debra) of Kent City, Jay Schuitema (Deb) of Spring Lake, Barbara Bennett of Fruitport and Julie Wierengo (Jeff) of Ravenna; and his daughter-in-law Sharri Schuitema of Twin Lake. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
