He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy R. Smith and Joseph O. Smith Sr.; and his siblings, Jennifer Smith, Jeffery, Daniel and James Smith.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Donna Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home (1720 Elk St, Port Huron, MI 48060). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery (1209 Krafft Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060). A procession was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (1209 Krafft Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060).
