She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Newbern; her parents, Rubird Taylor and Dorothy Batchelor; her siblings, Marshalynn Richmond and Gregory Batchelor; and her nephew Juawan Otis.
She is survived by: her children, Donte Taylor, Nakia Wynns (Derek) and Asante Lucas (Teisha); her grandchildren, Donte Taylor, Jr., Deja Wynns, Travion Taylor, Jasmin Wynns, Sapphire Taylor, Asante Lucas, Nasir Lucas, Emony Lucas and Kalib Wynns; her great grandchildren, NeVaeh Jackson and Serenity Jackson; and her child Cato Robinson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church (113-123 Wessen St, Pontiac, MI 48341).
