Thelma Ruth Garber Obituary
Thelma Ruth Garber age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Thelma was born on April 22, 1928, the daughter of Wesley and Carrie (Gascho) Cox, in Detroit, Michigan. On December 3, 1948, Thelma married the love of her life Ronald Garber in Gladwin, Michigan. They spent 73 years together until Ron's passing in 2021. Thelma worked at the Gladwin Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department for many years. Thelma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and gigi. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Thelma is survived by her daughters: Judy (Mike) Moore of Milledgeville, IL; Karin (Mike) Aman of Gladwin; grandsons: Matt (Kristin Meyers) Aman, Gladwin; Justin (Lauren) Aman, Oneida, WI; Marc (Tina) Kovach, Beaverton; Jason (Jennifer) Kovach, Lanark, IL; 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A private family celebration of Thelma's life will be held in the near future at Ridge Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Care Team Hospice for the wonderful care and support as well as their family who helped and supported them through this journey. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Care Team Hospice, or Emmanuel Baptist Church in Thelma's honor.
