Rose I. Pomaville Obituary

Rose I. Pomaville, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on May 26, 1932, in Beaver Township, Michigan, Rose was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Savage) Fournier. Her life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and service, which she embraced wholeheartedly until her last days.

In 1951, Rose united in marriage with Lawrence 'Pete' Pomaville, and together they embarked on a journey of love and companionship until Pete's passing in 1987. Their legacy continued to flourish through their devoted children: Lawrence Pomaville, Rose Anne Kienbaum, Leonard (Lois) Pomaville, David (Pam) Pomaville, Rodger (Christine) Pomaville, Patricia (Cecil) Henry, Paul Pomaville, Clara (Dan) Bills, Paulette (Brad) Neumeyer, and Martha Keen. Rose was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family that included 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her life was further enriched by the countless moments shared with them, though she was preceded in death by three grandchildren.

Rose's passion for caring for others extended beyond her family. She dedicated many years to the Bay County Division on Aging, where she served as a site manager and cook. Her commitment to the elderly in her community was not just a job but a calling, and she fulfilled it with joy and dedication. Rose's work was an extension of her nurturing spirit, and she left a lasting impact on all those she served.

A woman of many talents and interests, Rose found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing cards, canning the harvest from her garden, and indulging in crafts, with a particular fondness for ceramics. These hobbies were not just pastimes but avenues through which she connected with friends and family, creating memories and keepsakes that would be treasured for generations.

Rose was a faithful member of the Prince of Peace Parish, where her faith-filled life shone brightly. Her involvement in the parish community was a reflection of her belief in compassion, service, and the importance of fellowship. She lived her faith through action, and her funny, passionate nature was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Rose will remember her for her unwavering positivity and her ability to find humor in everyday life. She was the heart of every gathering, and her laughter was infectious. Rose's passion for life was evident in everything she did, and she inspired those around her to embrace each day with gratitude and love.

Rose's life was a journey of joy, service, and unwavering commitment to her loved ones. As we honor her memory, we take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved Pete and those who have gone before her. Her story does not end here, for it lives on in the lives of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Rose, until we meet again.
