Elaine J. Fischer Obituary

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother passed away on April 7, 2025 at The Toni and Trish House, age 99. The daughter of the late Herbert and Alvina (Metzger) Miller was born August 22, 1925 in Saginaw County. She married Charles E. Fischer on September 13, 1944 for 61 years until his passing on January 4, 2006. She was a secretary at Wolverine Bean, a division of Auburn Bean and Grain. She was a member of the Monitor Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed baking cookies for the Monitor Township Planning Commission which Charles was a member of.

She is survived by her children: Bette (Tom) Wisniewski of Auburn, MI, Helen (John) Murphy of Punta Gorda, FL, Peggy (Bill) Meylan of Auburn, MI, Nancy (John) Greenleaf of Lakeland, FL, Mary (Dale) Ramseyer of Bay City, MI, Susan (Matt) Fick of Midland, MI, and Floyd (Tammy) Fischer of Bay City, Mi, daughter-in-law Jill Fischer of Bay City, MI, twenty four grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, and twelve great greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law Elaine Miller, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Herbert (Sonny) Miller, her son David Fischer, grandson Thomas Floyd Fischer, grandson Joshua Carr, granddaughter Christy Lynn Fischer, and great great grandson Avery Rowan Young. The family would like to thank her daughter Mary, granddaughter Jennifer, and My Michigan Hospice for her care the past several months and the Toni and Trish house for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral Services will take place Thursday April 10, 2025 at 6:30pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplin Errol A. Wood with interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 3pm till time of service. Envelopes for The Toni and Trish House or the Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
