Charmine M. Ratajczak Obituary
After 84 years of demonstrating a life of perseverance and as a dedicated wife, devoted mother and precious Bushia, Charmaine was welcomed into heaven with her Savior, the angels and saints late Sunday evening, January 26, 2024.
The daughter of the late Edmund and Eva (Lukowski) Wisniewski was born December 11, 1940 in Bay City. She graduated from Central High School and worked at Normandy dress. She married Edward Ratajczak on December 2, 1961 in St Hyacinths Church. Eventually leaving the city for the country life that she came to love. Each spring she couldn't wait to open the windows and let the fresh country air in. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish Kawkawlin (Prince of Peace) and thru the years was a member of Alter Society (Helping Hands), active in Funeral Breakfasts, a catechism teacher. She also for years cleaned the rectory and church and meticulously washed & ironed the alter linens & the priests' vestments. She could get spots out of anything!
Charmaine was undoubtedly devoted to her family & home. No telling how many rosaries she prayed over all (especially her grandchildren). She loved to fish & enjoyed Charles Wysocki puzzles & family time in Au Gres at the cottage her father built. Her favorite things: Quilting, crafts, crocheting, sewing, estate sales & bargain hunting at St Vincent de Pauls, coke icees, chocolates & Hudsonville ice cream, ironing & cleaning. Patiently teaching & sharing with all.
Left to cherish her memory are husband Edward (Ed) of 63 years. Two children; Steven Ratajczak and Denise (Vince Kelley) McCrea. Four precious grandchildren who mourn the loss of their beloved Bushia: Jacob and Isaac McCrea, Janae and Kylie Ratajczak. Numerous nieces, nephews & dear friends.
