He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl Whalen and Jean Paulene Whalen. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Whalen (Nicole), Jean Marie Whalen (JR), John Whalen and Amber Whalen; and his brother Bill Whalen (Laura). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Frazer Cremation and Funerals (21001 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, MI 48178). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens (43300 W 12 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377).
