He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Longfield and Laura Longfield (Donaldson); his wife Sylvia D. LaClare; his brother John Longfield; and his sister-in-law Jean.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Burlison of St. Cloud, FL, Laura Reinhold (Ronald) of Williamsburg, Bruce Longfield of Kalkaska and Katsue Hokura (Ken) of Tokyo, Japan; his grandchildren, Jabin Reinhold (Laura), Dacia Reinhold (David Murray), Hannah Reinhold, Jenica Hartman (William), Jael Pulcipher (John), Grace Reinhold and Chie Yamada (Daisuke); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Isaac, Levi Reinhold, Macson Murray, Briar, John Pulcipher, Kensley Hartman, Momoe and Emma Yamada; and his siblings, Richard Longfield (Lois) of Prescott, AZ, David Longfield of West Branch and Edith Kay Diver (Charles) of Sedro Woolley, WA..
