He was predeceased by: his sisters, Shirley Hager, Carol Lardie and Alice Perrin; his brother-in-law Gib Perrin; his grandson David Thomas Bull; his niece Jeanie Hawkins; and his son-in-law Alfred Helberg.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Thomas Hager of Williamsburg, Christine Kniss (Richard) of Niles, Laura Helberg of Rapid City, Daniel Hager of South Boardman, Rita, Kathy, Mark, Sue, Mary and Jack Jacobs; his grandchildren, Joshua Sherwood (Brandi), Samuel Sherwood, Curtis Sherwood (Amanda), Meaghan Helberg, Adrian Helberg (Autumn Osterhouse), Christopher Helberg, Matthew Kniss, Danielle Williams (Patrick), Benjamin Hager (Julie), Nick Crim and Jessica Crim; his siblings, Susannah Hansen of Kalkaska, Beatrice Sherman (Donald) of Kalkaska and Gardner Hager (Bonnie) of Wacousta; and his parents-in-law, Gerald Beebe (Sharon) of Kalkaska, Janet Beard (John) of Chelsea and George Lardie (Iris) of Traverse City. He is also survived by many great- grandchildren.
