He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Cross and Lila Crow Cross Drake; his daughter Betty Jane Cross (John); his wife Ruth; his son Robert; and his daughter-in-law Susan Cross (Shaw).
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Stacy; and his children, William Cross (Barb), Dennis Cross, Gladys Ballard (Leslie) of Kalkaska and Larry Cross (Carol) of Mancelona. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 9 great-great- grandchildren.
He helped lay the foundation for the new school.
