With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zigrida Vande Giessen of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on March 18, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Clare Vande Giessen; her stepchildren, Bill Vande Giessen (Penny) and Tamara Rozankovich (Scott); her stepgrandchildren, Jordan, Leyna (Luke), Bella, Justin (Jackie), Lauren and Jace; and her cousin Latvia.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church or any favored garden societies.
