The memory of William P. Gates of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on March 8, 2025 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gates and Beatrice Gates (Dumonceaux); and his brother Gerald Gates. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Schieber; his sons, Christopher Gates (Sandra), Scott Gates (Jessi) and Brian Gates (Emily); his grandchildren, Stephanie Lamb, Austin Symko, Olivia Gates, Zachery Lamb, Madison Gates and Lauren Gates; and his sister Sheryl Hoffman.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the City (317 12th St, Plainwell, MI 49080). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 1:30 PM. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Prairie Home Cemetery.
