He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Schieber; his sons, Christopher Gates (Sandra), Scott Gates (Jessi) and Brian Gates (Emily); his grandchildren, Stephanie Lamb, Austin Symko, Olivia Gates, Zachery Lamb, Madison Gates and Lauren Gates; and his sister Sheryl Hoffman.
