Willard L. Glashower Obituary
In accordance with his wish, cremation will take place and a memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the Samaritans Purse or Voyage Church, c/o the funeral home.
Age 84, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Grandville, MI, the son of the late Peter and Nell (LaFleur) Glashower. Willard was kind, loving and generous. He had a strong faith and was a long-time member at Voyage Church. He was a gifted builder and worked hard to provide for those he loved. When not working he enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a loyal Detroit Sports fan and loved watching the Tigers, Red Wings and Lions, he was also a fan of UofM and Michigan State. He enjoyed listening to music and had an ear for jazz. Above all Willard loved his family and friends and he leaves behind many wonderful memories to be cherished. On November 22, 2003, he married his loving wife Joan E. (Hoit) Glashower who survives. He is also survived by his children and stepchildren, Steven (Deb) Glashower, Sue (Bob) Tillotson, Trent (Kim) Rutkowski, Keith (Megan) Rutkowski, John Hughes and Michelle Hughes; fifteen cherished grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Rhonda Glashower; stepdaughter, Nikki VanDyke; sisters, Eleanor and Boots.
