With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter James (Kalamazoo, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. James and Mamie E. James of Mishawaka, IN.; his wife Shirley K. James; and his in-laws, Roscoe "Moe" and Evelyn Clark.
He is survived by: his close friend Joel Francis; his brothers, William C. (Cheri) and James of Elkhart, IN; his son Timothy S. (Shelly); his grandchildren, Stacy of Houghton Lake, Janelle of Houghton Lake, Chris of Houghton Lake, Aiden of Houghton Lake, Lilly of Houghton Lake and Avery of Houghton Lake; his daughter Julie L. James of Kalamazoo; his grandsons, Jacob C. James and Jackson J. Peake; and his siblings, Norma (August), John (Jenny), Wanda (Wiley), Terry (Sue), Robert "Bucky", Donna (Donnie), Bonnie, Everett and Roscoe Jr..
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
