It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Mae Yancey of Kalamazoo, Michigan, born in Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Simon Henry and Emma Margaret Hager (Hoelscher); her spouse Willie Francis Yancey; and her children, Mark Yancey (Roseanne) of Richland, MI, Karen Burns (Louis) of Granite Bay, CA and Brenda Taber of Cranberry Twp. She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Health Care Activities Department at Friendship Village in Kalamazoo or to Centrica Care Navigators (Hospice) would be appreciated as these brought her great comfort.
