She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Carpenter and Hedwig Carpenter (Starke). She is survived by: her daughter Kim Tuinstra (Vince); her grandchildren, Nicolaas (Emma), Evan, Jonathan, Zoie and Christopher Tuinstra; her sister Judy VanderWeele; and her pets, Lilly, Lola and Sadie.
