In accordance with her wish cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o the funeral home.
Age 76, passed away on February 12, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Kalamazoo on March 28, 1947, the daughter of the late Milford and Maxine (Bensley) Johnson. Susan was kind, loving and generous. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she leaves behind many wonderful memories to be cherished. Susan enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing games and watching nature from her porch. In her youth she liked to bowl and was on many leagues. She also spent many hours doing ancestry research. Susan was a supporter of her family and her friends and could always be counted on when needed. Her smile and laughter will be missed by her family. She is survived by three loving children, Randy (Amy) Potgiesser, Jon (Jeanine) Potgiesser, Rhonda (Mike Blanco) White; grandchildren, Joshua and Nathan Potgiesser, Michael (Becca Mastin) Schultes, Katherine Schultes, Ethan, Chandler, Ariadne "Rae" White, Tristen Blanco; siblings, Judith (Ron) Nowak, Sherrie Johnson, Walter Johnson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by a great-grandson, Myles Schultes.
