He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven DeHaan and Laura DeHaan (Kannegeiter); his brother Jack DeHaan; his brother-in-law Edwin Hoeksema; and his mother-in-law Helen Adams (Wylie).
He is survived by: his wife Debbie DeHaan (Adams); his children, Zach DeHaan (Robin), Stephanie Blaskiewicz (Jeff), Megan Knight (Josh) and Alan Cherette; his grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, Gracie, Tyler, Adelih and Sophia; his great grandchild Alaïa; his siblings, Kathy Hoeksema, Pat Doorlag (Ed) and Larry DeHaan (Ruth); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl DeHaan, Dave, Dawn Llewellyn and DeAnn Adams. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice.
