She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Hoekenga; and her granddaughter Lisa VanderVeen. She is survived by: her mother Grace Hoekenga (Kline); her husband Howard DeVries; her children, Dennis DeVries (Karen), Don DeVries (Vicki), Laurie VanderVeen (Jeff) and Sallie Chilla (Dan); and her grandchildren, Jen Klaassen (Chad), Brian DeVries (Kristen), Betsy VanderMeer (Matt), Jill Quemada (Matt), Tim DeVries (Tara), Tom DeVries (Stephanie), Amy Wykstra (Matt), Scott VanderVeen (Jen), Kevin VanderVeen, Dr. Katelyn Chilla-DeHaan (Alex) and Kyle Chilla. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
