She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Peebles and Era Peebles (Bradford); her husband Jasper L. Simpson, Jr.; her grandson Matthew Simpson, Jr.; and her siblings, Franklin Peebles, Gurnia Peebles, Jimmy Peebles, Sharolett Ashby and Mark Peebles.

She is survived by: her sons, Brian, Matthew and Cory Simpson; her grandchildren, Brendan Cochran and Slade Simpson; and her siblings, Milton Peebles (Linda), Roger Peebles and Diane Stratton (Ron). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
