Sharon Lockett Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Lockett of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Bernis Warfield, Jr. and Irene Elizabeth Warfield (Baker); her husband Heldric Lockett; and her granddaughter Marisa Lockett-Davis. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Lockett and Melanie Lockett; and her siblings, Donald Warfield, Larry Warfield (Dena), Raja Warfield (Shelly), Deborah Warfield, Anita Warfield and Latfiah Warfield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the development office at Western Michigan University earmarked for the College of Education and Human Development for support of the Future Teachers Program in honor of Dr. Sharon Lockett.
