Sharon L. Jenkins Obituary

Age 77, passed away Sunday evening, December 31, 2023. Sharon was born in Grand Rapids, on April 24, 1946, the daughter of William and Lillian (Doezema) Buitendyk. On February 17, 2012, she married Stephen Jenkins who survives her. Sharon was a devoted Christian. Her house was always in apply-pie order. She liked things neat and clean. Her organizational skills made her well suited for a career with the Kent County Register of Deeds. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking. More than anything she liked being a mom and grandma. She loved her family more than anything. Besides her husband, Sharon is survived by her children, Todd (Connie) Hardy of Grand Rapids, Kim (Joe) Ludy of Mattawan; grandchildren, Cameron Ludy, Collin Ludy, Quentin Ludy and Vivian Ludy; brother, Jack (Bobbie) Buitendyk; three nephews; and many, many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Buitendyk.
