He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Ralph Bell. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Roosevelt Howard II (Donna Wynne), Eric Howard (Kathy) and Carla Howard; his granddaughter Courtney Howard; his siblings, Johnny Howard (Sally) and Mary Ellen Bell; and his parents-in-law, Lorraine Pitts, Wendy Buckner and Harry Buckner II (Doretha). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
