In accordance with Ron's wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center c/o the funeral home.
Age 72, passed away at his home on May 29, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Kalamazoo on October 3, 1951, the son of the late Alex and Louise (Richards) Vegh. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Gigi Blaisdell. Ron had a terrific sense of humor, was the life of the party and could lighten the mood of any situation. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman; early mornings during deer season and sunsets on the water were some of Ron's favorite times. He was a hard worker and ran an accomplished construction business for many years. When not working he also enjoyed spending time on the open road riding his Harley and attended the "Blessing of the Bikes" in Baldwin, MI, every year. Ron also enjoyed cooking and his cabbage rolls were legendary. Ron lived his life to the fullest and he will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by five children, Jeannie (Ken) Case, Elizabeth (Richard) Cutshaw, Sandra (Brent Rodgers) Barber, Mark Chapin, Brandon (Danielle Young) Adams; grandchildren, Haley, Samantha, Hazen, Ava, Izabella, Jacob, Billy, Mikey, Jayden; great-grandchild, Lily; sister, Susie Dooley and a special uncle, Dale Richards; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
